Back for its 58th Year, Sidewalk Sales will kick off on Thursday, July 11 with a special evening concert, Nashville in the Neighborhood. Join WYCD and downtown Rochester on July 11 from 7:00 to 9:00pm, for a Free Show with Dakota Bradley, Austin Webb, and John Maison! The concert will take place on W. Fourth between Main and Walnut. MOVIES IN THE MOONLIGHT – FOUR NIGHTS OF FUN BEGINS JULY 13
ROCHESTER, Mich., June 25, 2013 – Join downtown Rochester on Saturday, July 13 as we kick off the 12th season of Movies in the Moonlight. This season there will be four fun filled nights of movies!
Movies in the Moonlight is located in the parking lot at the corner of E. Third & Water, one block east of Main. Featured movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 pm) and pre-shows start at 8:30 pm. Admission is free, so arrive early for the best seating. Movies in the Moonlight is BYOC (Bring Your Own Chairs)! Popcorn, candy, hot dogs and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the Rochester Lions Club concession wagon, but you are welcome to bring your own goodies, too (no alcohol or glass containers allowed). WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 14, 2012) — The National Trust for Historic Preservation announced today that Rochester, Mich. was chosen as a 2013 Great American Main Street Awards® (GAMSA) winner. Recognized as a leader in implementing the Main Street Four-Point Approach®, embracing sound historic preservation practices and building strategic partnerships, the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was honored today at the annual National Main Streets Conference in New Orleans. DECK ART COMING SOON TO DOWNTOWN ROCHESTER
Art competition and exhibition – 2-day event!
ROCHESTER, Mich – April 26, 2013 – This year, over 230 artists from all over metro Detroit and more than 45 downtown Rochester businesses are participating in Deck Art 2013. In its third installment, Deck Art 2013 is a skateboard art competition and exhibition. Artists provide one-of-a-kind artwork using skateboard decks as a canvas. These decks will be displayed in downtown Rochester businesses beginning May 16 and will be celebrated with a two-day event on May 16 & 17. (more)
